"Hello, this is Sharon, a Face Yoga and well-being coach. As I entered menopause, I experienced a shift in my complexion that caused me to feel uneasy and self-conscious. My skin lost its radiance, wrinkles and fine lines began to deepen, and my restless nights due to anxiety further worsened my mental and emotional wellbeing, all of this was reflecting back at me, every worry and anxious thought showed heavily on my face. This hormonal shift can lead to a range of physical and emotional changes, including changes to the skin, such as dryness, thinning, and wrinkles. Face yoga improved my complexion. We can't stop the aging process, but we can help improve our skin health to look and feel our best with face yoga.


Face yoga exercises can stimulate the production of collagen, a protein that gives skin its elasticity and firmness. As we age, collagen production naturally decreases, on average during the the first 5 years after menopause our collagen can decrease by 30%, which can contribute to the development of fine lines and wrinkles. By engaging in facial exercises that target specific muscles, you are able to stimulate collagen production as well as building muscle strength and tone. Massage can help increase blood flow to the skin, which delivers oxygen and essential nutrients to the cells. This can help improve the health of the skin and stimulate collagen and elastin production.

I love face yoga so much because I love the improvements In my complexion from practicing face yoga and I love that I'm helping to keep my face and complexion fit and healthy from the inside out with this practice. I have a complexion that glows with health and vitality. Having a healthy vibrant complexion makes me look good and feel more confident in my own skin.

But more than this, face yoga is an act of self care. Face yoga is so much more than helping our skin look better. As I was fast approaching menopause, with all its changes, I was shocked at how fast my complexion changed. With the lack of sleep and my inner critic on load speaker, my confidence and my happiness suffered.

I am a woman who wants to naturally look and feel the best version of myself regardless of age. For me this isn’t trying to look 20 again. I wanted a healthy glow to my skin and I just wanted to feel happy and confident in my own skin. By incorporating face yoga into my daily life I am naturally keeping my skin healthy and making my well-being a priority I now feel amazing. My skin glows with health and vitality.
